If you don’t see locally produced American Lamb, be sure to ask for it. Each time you choose American lamb, you are supporting your local family producers and neighbors.

When shopping for lamb at a local retailer or butcher, you may not see a specific “California Lamb” label on the package. In many stores, lamb is more commonly labeled as American lamb or domestic lamb. That does not mean California producers are not part of the story. California sheep producers are an important part of the American lamb industry, and when you choose domestic lamb from a local retailer, butcher, farmers market, or producer, you are helping support sheep producers here in California and across the country.
